To enhance food insecurity, for instance, the research focuses on increasing productivity of crops and livestock by using proper farm management techniques, planting high yielding and drought tolerant hybrid seeds, giving adequate and balanced rations to livestock, controlling post-harvest losses and ensuring value addition and efficient marketing of farm products with efficiency and sustainability in mind. The research-based information is usually packaged and effectively disseminated to the beneficiaries in simple and easy-to-understand language.
